Linda Rodrigues Wins The August $10,000 Monthly

Linda Rodrigues, a member of the Southern Mass region, has taken down the August $10,000 Monthly tournament here at the VFW in Walpole.

Linda competed against 169 others in today’s event.

This is not Linda’s first Monthly win. She has won this two other times. The last one was at the Season 31 September $10K Monthly.

With this win, she has now earned a “Double Stack” for the Season 33 Finals. She came in 8th place at the May Monthly.

Upon entering this Final Table, she was second in chips behind Slade Edmonds. She only knocked out our 2nd place finisher Bill Lyons on this Final Table.

This was an epic Final Table which took over 2 1/2 hours to complete with the heads-up battle for almost an hour alone.

Linda’s final hand she played 9♠ 4♥ in honor of her father because that’s when he was born, plus the fact that the blinds were 100,000/200,000 at the time.
