Ron Scott Wins The June $10,000 Monthly Championship

What an awful, sticky, humid day outside it was today. It was perfect timing to come inside into an air conditioned room and play for chance at the $10,000 prizepool!

That’s was 163 players did and when the dust rose, Ron Scott takes down the June Monthly.

This was win number 11 for Ron.

Entering the Final Table, Ron was third in chips. Rob Stiegman was the chip leader going into the Final Table.

Beth Parker finished in 10th place when her pocket three’s were no match vs Paul Collupy pocket fours!

Colton Lima was our “Wild Card” seat bubble finishing in 9th when he ran into the chip leader Stiegman who held pocket Aces.

Collupy was then victim to Stiegman finishing in 8th when Ron’s Ace/Ten was dominated by Steigman’s Ace/King offsuit.

Mike Kelly finished in 7th when his pocket Aces were rivered by Abdul Paz who had King/Jack. A King fell on the flop and a Jack came on the river to give Paz two pair.

Anthony Decologero ended up in 6th vs Nick Sims when Sims Ace/Ten was better than Anthony’s Queen/Nine.

Nick ended in 5th against who else….Stiegman. Nick held Ace/Jack vs Rob’s Ace/Queen.

Susan Pell was Rob’s fourth victim finishing in 4th place. Susan held Jack/Four vs Rob’s Ace/King. A jack came on the flop for Pell but a King fell on the turn for Rob.

Adbul Paz finished in 3rd and this time it wasn’t against Rob. It was Ron Scott who eliminated him when Scott’s Jack/Ten was better than Paz’s Ace/nine when a ten hit the flop.

At head’s up play, chip counts were almost dead even.

On the last hand:

Ron’s A♦ 2♦ held up against Rob’s 6♣ 10♥ to give Ron the “W”.
