Simon Winchell-Manning Wins The Eastern Poker Tour Season 32 $30K Finals

Today, eighty-eight qualifiers come to the Double Tree Hotel to play in the Eastern Poker Tour’s Season 32 $30K Finals.

Simon Winchell-Manning, from the Southern Mass. region, a History high school teacher wins the event and has etched his name in Eastern Poker Tour history.

Winchell-Manning, from Holbrook, Mass started playing seriously in the past 18 months. Simon has NEVER won a pub (or Charity) event. He qualified via points and finished 8th in the April Monthly Championship giving him the “Wild Card” seat today.

Simon was slow and steady all day. Then he got into a hand with Charles Gudaitis when we were down to 16 players that got him to where he ended up to the Final Table.

When we got to the Final Table, Simon was second in chips, right behind Brad Cormier.

Andrew Camacho did most of the work of knocking out most everyone on this Final Table, but when it came to heads up with Simon, it was a battle. Back and forth for almost a full hour before Simon put a major dent into Andrew’s stack.

On the final hand of the tournament, Simon held 6♦ 6♣ while Andrew held A♥ 10♥. The sixes held and just like that, Simon has his first Eastern Poker Tour win and takes home $10,000 for his efforts. He had support from back home where his wife Hannah was watching the livestream.

This concludes Season 32..

On Monday, April 3rd, 2023 starts up Season 33!
