Jake Dennehy Wins The September $10,000 Monthly Championship In Marathon Form

What turned out to be a “Summer like” day in October, two hundred twelve players came out to play today’s Monthly $10K Championship.

It was the largest crowd of the Season. A number of people had tickets for the BPO East Coast Championship satellite that started at 1pm.

Jake Dennehy won today’s Monthly in an epic marathon heads up battle with Brandin Power.

This was the first time that the 1st and 2nd place chip leaders headed into the Final Table and battled it out for almost 2 hours heads up.

Mr. Dennehy graciously declined on an interview, because he had a seat in the $150 event and he needed to attend.

He did say that the reason he won was because of the post that was made with him and his “Gambling Stone” gave him positive mojo throughout the day.

Blinds got up to 100,000/200,000 when the tournament ended.

Jake and Brandin were just moving chips back and forth and then Brandin just went card dead giving Jake an almost 3-1 chip advantage at the end.

On the final hand of the night, Jake moved all-in with K♦ 10♣ and got called by Brandin’s Q♣ 9♣. Brandin could not score a Queen or a nine to continue.

This is career win number 46 for Jake with Eastern Poker.
